  1. What is The Lavender Ghost?
    The Lavender Ghost is the name of our 200 year old home. We documented an extensive renovation on Instagram starting in 2017. This shop is inspired by our love of vintage and antique objects.

  2. Where do you ship?
    At this time shipping is only available in the United States. All items are shipped via USPS.

  3. What payment types do you accept?

    You may pay for your order using Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Discover, PayPal or Apple Pay.

  4. Will I be charged tax?
    Any orders shipped within NY will be charged tax.

  5. How much do you charge for shipping?
    Shipping costs are based on the weight of the items in the order. Your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.

  6. When will my order ship?
    All items are shipped Monday-Friday by USPS First Class or USPS Priority Mail, depending on weight, in the order that they were received. This may change due to Covid-19 closures.

  7. How will my order be wrapped for protection?

    All Lavender Ghost purchases arrive wrapped with paper products made from 100% recycled materials. Certain items are so fragile that we will wrap them in a layer of bubble. The green bubble wrap contains the highest volume of recycled material that we were able to find on the market. If the bubble you receive is clear, it has been recycled.

  8. How can I track my order?
    When your order is shipped you will receive a shipment confirmation email with the tracking number. All orders are shipped via USPS.

  9. How do I care for my new item?

    Hand wash all glassware, dinnerware, enamelware with warm water, mild soap, and a non abrasive sponge or cloth.
    Cotton and linen napkins and hand towels can be washed in cold water in machine on delicate cycle.
    Hand wash cotton crochet and needlework in cold water and dry flat.
    Silk and wool are dry clean only.

  10. What happens if there has been a delivery mishap with my order? (lost or damaged delivery)
    Please use the assistance form at the bottom of the page if your delivery has been lost or damaged. Please give us the details of the problem and we will get back to you. Any damages that occur during shipping must be reported to USPS or The Lavender Ghost within 3 days of receipt.

  11. Can I return my order?
    All sales are final, and cannot be returned or exchanged. We want you to be happy with your purchase, so please review all photos and descriptions. Condition issues will be clearly documented, so please do not purchase if you have doubts about any item.

  12. Will my information be shared?
    No, your information will not be shared. If you decide to create an account or sign up for The Lavender Ghost newsletter the only communication that you will receive is from The Lavender Ghost. Pleas review our privacy policy for more information.

  13. Is my credit card information safe?
    Yes, your credit card information is safe. Every page in the thelavenderghost.com ordering process that requests credit card information uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, which is designed to render information unreadable should anyone try to intercept it.
